Okay so without wasting any time let's go into the Detailed step by step tutorial

STEP ONE :

Take backup of your App's Data if you are planning to edit the installed App. You can use lot of backup apps from the play store.

STEP TWO :

Download the APK file which you wanted to Edit from the Internet or you can generate APK file from your installed apps using an app called as DOWNLOAD → App backup and Restore

STEP THREE :

Do you know ?? you can edit any android app installed on your phone. Not only that, you can also edit the APK files That you have download from the Internet.

As soon as you launch this a APK editor app, You will be provided with the homepage Similar to with the screenshot below where you can select whether you want to edit the installed App or the APK file which you have downloaded from the Internet :

STEP FOUR :

In this tutorial I will show you how to edit a APK file which I have download from the Internet. We will Tap on Select an APK File option on the screen. Once you select this option you will be provided with the file chooser where you can search or navigate and locate and then choose your APK file which you have download from the Internet.

Bonus point:You may not require to root your phone if you edit the APK file instead of Apk file from Installed App

When you select the APK file you want to from the file chooser, You will be provided with the pop-up with three options.

1. Full Edit (RESOURCE RE-BUILD)
2. Simple Edit (FILE REPLACEMENT)
3. Common Edit

A. What is Full Edit ?

Using full edit you can edit any part of the app. like you can change the strings or code what ever you want to do you can do it.

B. What is Simple Edit or File Replacement ?

As the name suggests here you can replace any file in the app like icons or sound or videos within the app

C. What is common edit ?

In this option you can Change the Launcher icon, App name, Package name, Install location, Version code and Version name

STEP SIX :

Now for the sake of the tutorial we will do the common editing. We you select the Common edit option, You will be provided with the window like the below screenshot

STEP SEVEN :

We will edit the name 'Aptoide' to 'Rehan Store' and Tap on 'Save' Button

Change App Name from Aptoide to Rehan Store and click on Save

STEP EIGHT :

Apk is generated and you can find it in the location provided in the screenshot below

RESULTS :

Now go to your file manager and navigate to the APK generated location from the previous screenshot In my case :'/Internal Storage/ApkEditor/tmp/gen_signed.apk', In your case the location maybe different make sure you take a screenshot of the previous step. When you try to install this APK you can find that the app name got changed to Rehan store, You can find the screenshot below :
